Welcome back to another lactose free recipe. This week I wanted to share with you something that is cute, adorable, and full of chocolatey goodness.

This recipe used dark chocolate so it does have that bitter edge. If you do not like dark chocolate I recommend using milk or white chocolate.

As always, I have tested this recipe many times and found it to be easy and fool proof. Plus, it works amazing with lactose free products.

  • Separate the gelatine sheets and place into a square container. Cover with water and leave the soften for ten minutes.
  • When the gelatine has completely softened take the leaves out and squeeze out the excess water. Place into a separate dry container.
  • In a small bowl put the cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Place on a medium heat.
  • When the mixture has heated up and the sugar has dissolved add the chocolate.
  • Stir until the chocolate has fully melted into the mixture.
  • Continue heating until the mixture comes to a boil.
  • Add the gelatine and whisk until it has fully dissolved.
  • Pour the panna cotta into the heart pan. Place the panna cotta into the fridge and leave to set overnight.
  • To remove the panna cotta, fill your sink with hot water. Place the pan into the water for 60 seconds. Take the pan out and gently run a knife around the edge of the pan. Place a plate on top and quickly flip it so the place is on the bottom. The Panna cotta should slide out onto the place.
  • Gently dust the top of the panna cotta with the cocoa powder and decorate with a strawberry cut in half.
  • Serve, devour and enjoy.
